Hotel Hieracon in Carloforte is an Art Nouveau building of rare elegance and refinement. In its long
history, it hosted noble families, embassies, and consulates, before being converted into a hotel in
1980.
Today it is a 4-star hotel inaugurated after a skillful renovation having as a purpose to
enhance the ancient beauties of the building, and to increase comfort in hospitality.
The renovation was carried out by using biocompatible materials. The installation of photovoltaic
and thermal energy systems allows the use of renewable energy.
Located right in front of the sea, in the historic center of Carloforte, 50 meters from the
marina, Hotel Hieracon is the ideal starting point to visit the wonderful “island in the island” of
Sardinia.
Hierakon nesos, is the ancient name of the island of San Pietro, attributed by the Greeks,
due to the presence of numerous sparrow hawks, currently called the queen's hawk, which since that
time populate the cliffs of the island, and can be still admired in the Lipu oasis of Cala fico.
